Papplewick Pumping Station - Nottinghamshire Scheduled Ancient Monument

 Britain's finest Victorian Water Works preserved as a complete working water pumping station. The Station opened in 1884 to supply water for City of Nottingham, using two massive beam pumping engines, thought to  be the last built by the famous firm of James Watt & Co. of Soho Works, Birmingham and London.
